RM 2493

Have you gotten an e-mail or a printed flyer from a friend concerning the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and a petition with a number of 2493 that is trying to keep Christian broadcasting off the air? Perhaps it talks about removing all Christmas Carols from Public School concerts. Whether the name attached to this is Madeline Murray O'Hare or (more recently now) Dr. James Dobson . . .it is a hoax!! Do not believe it for one moment and do not send it on to anyone!

It has been a hoax since it all began - way back in 1975!! RM (for Rule Making) 2493 does exist, but in it's original form it had absolutely nothing to do with all things that have been attached to it since then.

This petition has cost us as taxpayers millions of dollars and has put a great deal of extra work on the FCC staff.
